What this directory is

Westchester County, NY Tree Service Guide is an independent directory and comparison resource covering 141 tree service businesses across the county, from Yonkers and New Rochelle up through White Plains, Mount Kisco, and the smaller towns along the Hudson and up near the Connecticut line. It’s built for homeowners and property managers who need to find someone to take down a storm-damaged oak, handle routine pruning, grind a stump, or manage a larger clearing job, and who want a straightforward way to compare local options before picking up the phone.

We also generate enquiries for local providers: when you ask to be matched with a tree service, we pass your enquiry to providers relevant to your request and may receive a referral fee for that connection. This is part of how the directory sustains itself. Referral arrangements never affect scores or earned rankings, and the two functions of this site (comparison and connection) are kept separate on purpose.

Where the listing data comes from

Each business profile starts with public business data: things like location, services offered, hours, and licensing or insurance details where available. We then synthesize recent Google reviews to surface patterns in how a company performs on things like communication, cleanup, punctuality, and pricing fairness. We do not republish review text or copy reviews wholesale. Instead, we link out to the business’s Google listing so you can read the original reviews yourself and form your own view.

How rankings are earned

Rankings come from a published rubric, applied consistently to the data and review signals we collect. No business can pay to move up the list, and no editorial staff member ranks a company based on personal opinion or a sales relationship. A business that finds an error in its own listing, like a wrong phone number, outdated service area, or a closed location, can request a correction to those facts. What it cannot do is edit its own score, sentiment summary, or position in the rankings. That separation is what keeps the rankings meaningful.

Sponsorship, when it appears

Some pages may include sponsored placements. These are always labeled “Sponsored,” displayed in a separate section from the earned rankings, and never blended into the ranked list itself. A business paying for visibility does not change where it lands in the actual rubric-based ranking.
